INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL PROGRAM
The Intramurals Program is for boys and girls in grades 3rd through 8th residing in the parish. Intramurals builds upon the Clinic program and introduces the team concepts of league play. It is not a prerequisite for the child to have participated in the Clinic. This is an intra-parish league with no try outs and all children receive equal playing time. Intramurals is highly instructional and introduces children to competitive team play with a strong emphasis on sportsmanship. Grades 3 and 4 play Saturdays at the SJST Gym and Grades 5 through 8 play Saturday mornings at the I. CYO BASKETBALL
The CYO Program is for parishioners with children in grades 2 through 12. These are competitive teams that participate against other parishes in the SI CYO Program. Children must try out for SJST teams that have been entered in the SI CYO Program and parents must fulfill obligations for gym and concession duties at SJST home games. Playing time is discretionary and is governed by the Diocesan CYO guidelines. Our CYO Program adheres to the CYO Code of Ethics promoting sportsmanship and Catholic values. All CYO basketball players must also play in Intramurals. CYO games are scheduled through the CYO and may be played at any SI CYO parsh court. CYO SUMMER BASKETBALL
The CYO Summer Program is for parishioners with children in grades 2nd through 8th. These are competitive teams that participate against other parishes in the SI CYO Program. Children must try out for SJST teams that have been entered in the SI CYO Program and parents must fulfill obligations for gym and concession duties at SJST home games. Playing time is discretionary and is governed by the Diocesan CYO guidelines. Our CYO Program adheres to the CYO Code of Ethics promoting sportsmanship and Catholic values. CLINIC BASKETBALL PROGRAM
The Clinic is for parishioners with children in grades K through 2nd. The program is an introduction to the game of basketball focusing on rules, basic skill sets and sportsmanship. The Clinic Program is non-competitive and very highly instructional. The Clinic Program is held on Saturdays only at the SJST Gym. The Clinic Program will begin in October 2001 and conclude in February 2002. All particiapants receive a T-shirt and a trophy. Call the Parish Office at 356-0294 for details.
